Beihang University
Chunming Hu has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science (2000) and Ph.D in Computer Science (2006) from the School of Computer Science & Engineering at Beihang University. He has been working at Beihang University as a faculty member since 2006. His main research interests include large scale distributed systems, software engineering, system virtualization and resource scheduling in cloud/big data systems. He is a Distinguished Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF) and Deputy Chair of the System Software Technical Committee at CCF. He also works with aeronautic and astronautic industries on developing methods and tools for model-driven safety-critical software systems.
Peking University
Zhi Jin is a professor in the School of Computer Science and has served as the Deputy Director of High-Confidence Software Technologies (Ministry of Education) since 2009. She obtained her B.Sc. from Zhejiang University in 1984 and Ph.D. from the National University of Defense Technology in 1992, respectively. Her research interests include knowledge engineering, requirements engineering, and knowledge-based software engineering. She has attracted and led over 20 national competitive grants, which include the Premier’s Award of Distinguished Young Scientists in China, awarded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2006. She was the First Chief Investigator for three national-level projects and two bilateral collaboration international projects. She is now the chief-scientist of a national basic research program in China. She has published two monographs, over 40 peer-reviewed journal papers, and 60 international conference papers.

Xiaoxing Ma, a Full Professor at Nanjing University, with the State Key Laboratory for Novel Software Technology and School of Computer Science. He received the Ph.D degree in computer science from Nanjing University, China, in 2003. His primary research focuses on software engineering, especially software engineering for/with machine learning, internetware, self-adaptive software systems, cloud computing, and software architecture. He has co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed conference and journal papers, and has served as a technical program committee member on various international conferences.

Wang Huaimin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a leading expert in distributed computing, a professor at the University of National Defense Technology. He has been deeply engaged in long-term research and talent development in the field of distributed computing, and has made systematic and innovative contributions to distributed computing models, technologies, and platforms.
As the first contributor, Professor Wang has received the Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award once and the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award twice. As a key contributor, he has also been honored with the Special Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award once and the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award twice.

Min Xie has been a Chair Professor at the City University of Hong Kong since 2011. He joined the National University of Singapore in 1991 as one of the first recipients of the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Research Fellowship. He holds a Ph.D. from Linkoping University, Sweden in 1987. Prof. Xie has carried out extensive research in reliability, quality control, and systems engineering. He has published over 300 journal papers and 10 books, including “Software Reliability Modelling”, “Weibull Models”, “Computing System Reliability”, etc. His recently co-authored book, “Cyber-Physical Distributed Systems: Modeling, Reliability Analysis, and Applications”, was published by Wiley. He has advised over 60 Ph.D. students, now working in industry or academia on different continents. Prof. Xie has been a fellow of IEEE since 2006 and was recently elected to European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
