International Workshop on Safety and Security in Cyber-Physical Systems (SSCPS 2025)

Description

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) is recognized as an important trend of information technology and will deeply affect everyday’s life of people. Theoretical and engineering aspects of CPS, such as its foundations, methods and tools, implementation techniques, attract a lot of research interests recently.

The capabilities of CPS are realized by deeply embedded computation, communication and control, and their extensive interactions. As CPS is widely adopted in various critical areas (for example, distributed energy systems, transportation systems, and healthcare monitoring), its safety and security become key issues for its development and utilization.

The safety and security problems faced by CPS have essential differences compared with traditional computing systems. The SSCPS workshop will provide a forum to bring together researchers and practitioners working towards improving the safety and security of CPS and their related areas. The workshop focuses on innovative methodologies, techniques, tools, management and applications in this challenging area, and provides a chance of exchanging ideas on them.

Topics

The list of topics includes, but is not limited to:

  • Safety and security models of CPS
  • Trustworthy evaluation of CPS
  • Design for safety and security of CPS
  • Metrics and measurement for safety and security of CPS
  • Verification and validation of CPS
  • Testing and simulation of CPS
  • Monitoring and evolution for safety and security of CPS
  • Management issues in safety and security of CPS
  • Methods and tools of CPS
  • Applications and empirical studies of CPS

Submission

Authors are invited to submit original unpublished research papers as well as industrial practice papers. Simultaneous submissions to other conferences are not permitted. Detailed instructions for electronic paper submission, panel proposals, and review process can be found at QRS submission.

Each submission can have a maximum of ten pages. It should include a title, the name and affiliation of each author, a 300-word abstract, and up to 6 keywords. Shorter version papers (up to six pages) are also allowed.

All papers must conform to the QRS conference proceedings format (PDF | Word DOCX | Latex) and Submission Guideline set in advance by QRS 2025. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper is required to pay the full registration fee and present the paper at the workshop. Submissions must be in PDF format and uploaded to the conference submission site. Arrangements are being made to publish extended version of top-quality papers in selected SCI journals.
